Itinerary
Pick-up in Arusha and drive to Materuni village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Walk with a local guide through farms and forest to the Materuni waterfalls, where you can swim in the cool pool. Back in the village, join a farming family for a coffee tour: pick, roast and grind the beans by hand, then taste the coffee. On clear days you see the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro. Return to Arusha in the afternoon.

Drive to Tarangire National Park for a full game drive among the baobabs and along the Tarangire River, home to large elephant herds. Evening drive to Mto wa Mbu.

Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, below the Rift Valley escarpment, with its groundwater forest, tree-climbing lions, hippos and flamingos. Drive up to Karatu in the afternoon.
