Lake Ngozi is a crater lake in the forested Poroto Mountains. Kaporogwe Falls drops 25 m about 25 km from Tukuyu, and you can walk into the cave behind the curtain of water. Near Tukuyu, Daraja la Mungu, “God's Bridge”, is a natural rock bridge of old lava across the Kiwira River.
The Mbozi meteorite, south-west of Mbeya, is one of the largest iron meteorites in the world. It weighs about 16 tonnes and is 3 m long.
Matema Beach lies on the shore of Lake Nyasa, about 130 km from Mbeya, below the steep Livingstone Mountains. Swim, paddle a canoe with local fishermen, and visit the pottery village across the bay.
