Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park lies against the steep escarpment of the Rift Valley. Its ecosystems include evergreen groundwater forest, acacia woodland, grassy plains, a swampy fan delta and the lake itself.

Manyara is home to rare tree-climbing lions. Buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos and many elephants roam near the lake. Look for blue monkeys, vervet monkeys and active olive baboon troops.
