Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park sits close to Arusha town. Game drives along the Momella Lakes show flamingos and hippos, and black-and-white colobus monkeys live in the forest canopy.

It is one of the few parks in Tanzania that offers walking safaris led by an armed ranger, on foot among giraffes, buffalo, zebras and warthogs. Canoe trips on Momella Lake give a water-level view of wildlife.

The park is open from 6 am to 6 pm.
